Mind-blowing location with breathtaking views, well-equipped kitchen, generous amenities like cozy throws and a telescope, beautifully designed environmentally friendly accommodation with a hot stove and AMAZING bed, exceptional communal space, clean bathrooms.

We had an amazing experience at this stunning accommodation. The view was breathtaking and the yurts provided a luxurious experience. The communal building was impressive, with a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful living area. The fact that there was no electricity in the yurts added to the peaceful atmosphere. We also appreciated the attention to detail for self-catering, with comfortable beds and lockers for personal belongings.
The accommodation fell short in terms of being dog-friendly. The owner's attitude and repeated lectures about our dogs made us feel uncomfortable and stressed.

Great attention to detail for self-catering, and the beds were comfy. The view over the lake was amazing, and the communal space was well-furnished and filled with board games, books, and comfy seats. The kitchen area had everything needed to prep meals, and the shower and toilet facilities were spotless. It was the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with mother nature.
The route we took to the hotel was down some very small country lanes, which could be intimidating for city drivers. It would have been nice if there were more activities available on the property, such as kayaking on the lake.

The beds were unbelievably comfortable, rivaling those in a 5-star hotel. The main hub had all the amenities we needed and the property was well-maintained and clean. The views were absolutely stunning, making it the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
There was construction work happening during our stay that started early in the morning and lasted all day. The noise was quite bothersome, especially since I work in construction and didn't want to be reminded of it on vacation.

I was absolutely blown away by this place! The whole concept is mind-blowing and the attention to detail is insane. The eco-friendly initiatives were super impressive and the ability to mingle with other like-minded travelers was just perfect. The lodge and yurts were beyond exceptional. They were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. The fully equipped kitchen, personal fridge and cupboard space in the yurts, and the supplied flask, hot water bottles, and lamps were a GREAT touch. The wood burner in the yurts and the provided wood made them even more beautiful and cozy. The surroundings were absolutely jaw-dropping, a true escape from everything. The communal area was all ours during our stay and we loved it. The bathrooms and showers were incredibly clean and they even provided hair dryers and shower gel. The generosity of spirit and attention to detail was evident with the beautiful throws, fantastic reading material, telescope, piano, and guitar. A stay at this place is an absolute must-do. We had the most amazing experience and cannot recommend it enough. It's just.wow!

We had the most amazing Christmas getaway! The location was perfect, nestled in the countryside with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved the communal areas, especially the large living room where we could relax and enjoy quality time together. The staff were also friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
We did have a couple of issues during our stay. the shower water pressure was quite weak, which made it difficult to have a satisfying shower.

I couldn't be happier with the value for money at Lough Mardal Lodge. The Shepards hut we stayed in was so cosy and beautifully decorated, with breathtaking views of the lake. The location was incredibly peaceful, with each yurt placed perfectly for privacy. The communal space was stunning, filled with board games and comfy seats. The staff were friendly and available whenever we needed them. it was an amazing space to relax and unwind.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast menu better would be more variety in the options available.

The cozy yurt with a log stove was a nice touch, and the view of the lake from the bed was beautiful. The communal area was also impressive, with a stunning design and cleanliness.
Having to walk to the shared facilities, especially at night in Irish weather, was inconvenient and challenging. the unsupervised roaming dog posed a potential danger, especially with other pets allowed on the premises.
